I take Deplin as I have the MTHFR variant from both parents. I switched to Metabolic Maintenance L-methylfolate and it nearly killed me by not working at all. I asked if it was the same as Deplin generic and they said yes. It isn't. By the end of the first month I couldn't catch my breath and was extremely asthmatic. After going back on the Deplin generic, after about two weeks, I could breathe almost normally again. The Metabolic Maintenance is garbage and is absolutely NOT the same thing as Deplin L-methylfolate.
