The label recommends three capsules a day, but one capsule a day is plenty for me. But I'm quite sensitive to many meds and supplements. Also, I prefer taking it early in the day, since I find it somewhat energizing. If I take it too late in the day, I find it more difficult to fall asleep. However, some people take it at bedtime and report that it helps with their sleep. It mildly elevates my mood.
