I have to say that taking Magnesium 2-3 times a day has had a beneficial synergistic effect with my medications. I feel better than ever. I feel that it relaxes me physically and mentally, my digestion is good (I'm losing some of the Seroquel pudge), my energy is good, and I'm sleeping better. I've been able to reduce Seroquel to 50mg. I'm still taking 150mg Effexor 30mg Remeron. I also feel like the magnesium has a mood stabilizing effect.
I'm probably taking in about 2-3 grams of magnesium citrate, which is probably around 400-500mg of elemental magnesium. I was constipated before (effexor), but that's not a problem anymore.
My girlfriend has been taking magnesium for a week (PMS time) and has been feeling and sleeping better. The difference is remarkable. She's also taking B6, zinc, and sometimes folic acid.
