In reply to Bioperine for better absorption?, posted by tecknohed on January 8, 2008, at 14:01:35
I tried Doctor's Best brand of magnesium with bioperine and wasn't impressed enough to permanently switch brands. (I usually take Cardiovascular Research brand of magnesium taurate.)

Its said to increase absorption of other nutrients/supplement of all kinds when taken on an empty stomache, by making the gut wall more permeable. Probably even more so with drugs. Many brands carry warnings not to take with medications.
