Proteins is the most efficient nutrient to decrease hunger. So if high protein diet leads to lower intake of carbohydrates it could stabalize your mood and improve insulin sensitivity. Unfortunately many people get a sense of low energy from low carb diet, especially in the beginning.

Most proteins from a high protein diet is transformed into fat and carbohydrates, not transmittors.

So if you are having problems with OCD and food intake Whey Protein Powder could be of some help, otherwise no.
