Whey Protein Powder for Depression?

Posted by blueberry1 on December 25, 2006, at 6:32:05

I might try some Whey protein powder. Unlike amino acid capsules, Whey has a good balance of tyrosine and tryptophan, along with the whole army of other amino acids. I was reading at one website that said supplementing with individual amino acids is partially correct but partially flawed, in that there are many more neurotransmitters and stuff going on that need help besides just serotonin or dopamine.

It kind of makes sense on paper, but you know how that goes. :-(

Anyone ever taken Whey protein powder?
