Also conversely, if I take a substance that decreases cortisol will that not just signal the HPA that I need more cortisol? Then I end up needing to take thecortisol decreasing substance every day. Unless I can find something that also fixes whatever is wrong in my HPA or Hippocampus.
Perhaps the Acetyl-L-Carnitine has an advantage here. Or even mifepristone (RU-486) which is looking like a miracle drug for some people (see link).
