Go to www.mountainroseherbs.com and read the info. You may also type in "fo-ti" on google and you will have more info than you ever wanted. If you do decide to purchase this herb, I highly recommend www.mountainroseherbs.com. I have been a customer of theirs for years, their herbs are excellent, their prices are the cheapest I have found, and their customer service can't be be beat. good luck!
