If u want to add the effects of gaba to ur xanax,your best bet is using l theanine which increases blood levels of both gaba and dopamine,and can cross the brain.
Taurine also effects gaba and works well with benzos.
As for gaba itself,over the counter gaba does not cross the blood brain barrier,also it for a lot of people agigtates them causing a blushing red of the skin and a pins and needles effect in the feet.But it doesent get to the brain,and taking a lot will just make u dizzy and woozy.
L theanine is prob one of the easiest to obtain localy,most effective ways of increasing gaba id look into it.
FYI a lot of meds such as gabatril have gaba attatched to a chemical that CAN cross into the brain.
Gabatril for example is gabba vinyl.
