I also admit, being of a simple brain functioning, I have difficulty understanding alot, make that MOST, of the confusing and convoluted pathophysiology involved with thinking about brain function. Trying to grasp those concepts actually makes noise as it flys over my head. My question would be: What implications does this info give for practical applications for treatment? Are we talking new meds, new alternative treaments, new "heal thyself" techniques we have yet to uncover? Surgery? What?
Knowledge is great and I think it's goal should be for helpful purposes. Sometimes I feel it's a bit like: Okay we know your arm's broke, we know setting it might help it heal correctly, BUT we don't know HOW it set it, therefore, we STILL don't really have a treatment for it.
