Second messenger system and mental illness

Posted by Ezmoney on July 20, 2005, at 14:17:28

Is mental illness a brain disorder ?If not, then what is it?Is ADD a brain disorder or a mental illness? Why is ADD found in many forms of mental illness ? Just what causes mental illness? You need to read all about the second messenger system.Depression shows hyper brain activity in the left amygdala and the right forebrain.Brain scans show many brain abnormalites and brain atrophy in mental illness.A shortage of serotonin is no way the cause of mental illness. All scientific research refutes this.In fact, ssri drugs make bi-polar worse. It is way more complicated that a SE shortage.Too much Se can cause mental illness.Other brain chemicals are also involved.SE plays a major role in the second messenger system activation .The T2a receptors control the release of dopamine and NE.Read about CKE and it,s role in mental illness.Inositol and phoshorous must combine inorder to activate the second messenger system.CKE allows this to happen. You have se receptors all over your body. They turn procesees on and off.Depends on which receptor is activated. You have many diffrent kinds of se receptors that control diffrent areas of the brain and body.Rage is controled by se receptors. Activation of one brain area deactivates another area.Activation of the right side of the brain deactivates the left side.It can stop OCD ,which is in the left brain.Activation of the left side can stop depression which is in the right forebrain.Activation of the septum stops rage.Activation of the orbitol frontal cortex stops panic and anxiety.Panic and anxiety are just brain signals ,generated by the right amygdala and felt in the left forebrain. There are signal pathways in the brain.PKC has a lot to do with brain cell kindling as seen in panic ,ocd and bi-polar .You have 3 brain systems that release brain chemicals. The second messenger sysyem, the nicotonic system, and the mussciratic system.Study each one.One system may be defective and the other be ok.The second messenger system appears to be defective in schizophrenia and the nicotonic system is fine.Nicotine acts on the nicotonic system to quick release dopamine in the fore brain and hyppocamus. This allows gateing to take place so that the brain is not overwhelmed by stimulis. A release of SE causes the release of CKE ,which deactivates an enzyme that prevents inositol and phosporus from combineing. This controls the release of dopamine and NE and activates the second messenger system. It is all so simple. Then DAG and calcium activate PKC.Dag must be removed from the cell by inositol or PKC stays activated.Inositol combines with the DAG and removes it from the cell and the signal is terminated. The signal must be terminated and the brain cell polarised or the brain chemical will continue to be released untill the brain cell reacts by totally stoping the release of the brain chemical for good then you become very ill.Every cell has an atuoreceptor that tests how much brain chemical has been releasaed then another receptor shuts off the release. The release of too much brain chenical injures this process. The release is totally shut down.
