Propionbacterium is killed by wild oregano oil which is a powerful natural antibiotic, and I would definitely reccommend it for skin problems. It's effective topically as well, but be careful to dilute it as it can sting, zinc oxide is a good base to use with it, as zinc has antifungal and mild antibiotic properties as well as being soothing on inflamed skin.
Garlic is also beneficial for cystic acne, partly because of it's anti-inflammatory effect and sulphur content, any natural source of additional sulphur in the diet can be helpful. I would use the combination however, or choose the Oregano Oil as cystic acne lesions often contain more than one strain of bacteria and not all are sensitive to garlic alone.
