Traveler,
I use it from time to time when overwhelmed and stressed. I do not expect RR to work *anything* like a benzo or to have *any* sedating effect on me.
I do expect to feel just a smidge more relaxed than ten minutes prior to taking some or using the cream on my arm or back of neck/shoulder blade area. I do expect sudden unexpected crying jags to turn down a notch or two after taking RR.
It works differently for everyone. I don't use it as replacement for anything but instead as a part of my herb/homeopathic/supplement box o' snake oils and toads feet.
-tongue firmly in cheek on that last part-
--zhshort answer--yes, rescue remedy works very well for the things I take it for. <<---zenhussy's personal experience speaking only for herself as the sole test subject and nonobjective reporter
