Thanks DSCH. I followed you suggestion. I used to Ginko for this purpose and it helped. My pressure is usually normal but I had some problem with it yesterday taking 1000mg tyrosine and 200+100 epa/dha * 2.
I had to add anyway than when I'm nervous I use to smoke a cigarette after another, so I don't think tyrosine is the only culprit. But I have read it can raise blood pressure so I have to think about the opportunity of taking it or not.
I'm more oriented to triptophan in these days and to add a B-complex. I'm not have yet decided a starting regimen, being yet in the phase of dumb experiments.
Anyway I'm studying suplements and vitamins, because I undestood that if I don't do it it's very hard for me to follow a regimen because I can't understand the reasons of what I'm doing.
Tomorrow I will go the psychiatrist who prescribed me Ritalin and I will talk to him about my responses to triptophan and thyrosine.
He said that it would hafve not been probable that I would get a immediate response to aminos.
Since it's what I have got I want him to consider if there can be medical causes to my quick responses. My purpose is not only to know if I can have some kind of medical defect in metabolism but also to open a little his mind. His second choice after Ritalin as you will remember was Imiprammine + a mood stabilizer. It came out that I have a prostathis (in my opionion probably dued to long use of TCA and alcohol) so I have very good reasons not to take imiprammine.
Since these are 'medical' reasons I think he'll understand them. I'm also thinking about looking for a physician expert in orto-molecular psychiatry here in Rome. It will not be easy but maybe it's worth. I will tell you about.
