See my post above... I think you might be "adding fuel to the fire" in your temporal lobe by taking tryptophan.

At the same time it helps your cingulate gyrus though.

I think this hypothesis can explain your mixed responses to tryptophan as well as all of your serotonergic meds if Amen is right.
