I am a conservative with severe libertarian leanings. Right wing? Okay, I guess. Not a fan of the right/left labels as the country is already so divided. I agree with some of Eric's views and disagree completely with others. We are not all cut from the same cloth,, any more than others are who identify as liberals, or whatever. Broad brushes are really tough on potential dialog, don't you think?
I try not to be a hypocrite about things, but I'm sure I fail at times. I am pretty amenable to introspection about it when others point it out, but not as much if I'm labeled or called names.
I don't concern myself with wars on the birth of Jesus. If you break it down, it's an odd concept to try and capture the feelings of Christians who feel persecuted in the public square. Since I believe God became man and stepped into our history when Jesus was born, I can't wrap my head around mankind being able to make war on that...not possible. Christmas is eternal and can't be defeated :-)
I hope Eric comes around to being okay with as much **civil** free speech as possible here some day, although I'm not optimistic based on history. You and I might find we disagree on many or even most things, but that isn't the criteria determining whether you get to post about them or not. I f Dr. Bob ever went down that road... :-((
