DL Phenylalanine is an amino acid which is a precursor of dopamine. I have been fighting The Beast for 30 + years and have a wealth of knowledge from personal and professional experience. Who know why it has made the difference?
I only take it 1-2 times a week. The bottle says 2-3 times a day but anytime I start a med I go low and slow. Even on Nardil I was suicidal and that is why I started Ketamine. For all I know the Ketamine helped with the synaptic Connectivity. I dont know but I will NOT stop the DL as once I added it While getting Ketamine, my depression improved. Coincidental?
I Have been treated since 1985 with every med known to man. But the only ones that worked well are MAOs. Did you get the genetic test to determine best chance a med will work based on Your liver enzymes? Worthwhile to do. It shows most SSRIs are ineffective for me. MAOs are the category Suggested for me to use. I have lost Huge chunks of my life trying to Battle this disease. It is not for the faint of heart. Good luck finding answers. I have searched for answers and sometimes found them but not always. But today the choices of different types of treatment is vastly improved.
