Yeah that is a problem! I think what you are inadvertently saying is, "We need more doctors who know more stuff!" :-)

You know, I talked to a doctor the other day who didn't even know that patients can self administer catheters, that they sell them on TV, and that lots of people actually do that. A doctor. Didn't know that. Unbelievable!

I pop in here every once in a while when I happen to think about it. That sometimes leaves someone like Jereon or you or someone else with a question that goes unanswered in a timely manner. So I apologize for that! I mean, even if there are no answers, at least it's nice to be able to converse with someone and exchange ideas, right? So, I apologize.

I'm just glad to see you in the fight! It's the only route I have ever seen that actually has good potential to work in our favor.

There is a whole new class of doctors dealing with this kind of approach now. They call themselves Functional Medical Doctors. They look at the whole body as a integrated machine, not just the individual parts or the individual symptoms. They see how seemingly unrelated symptoms are actually attached and part of the same disease. You are now entering into that realm of medicine and I think it only increases your chances of getting better by A LOT!

But it is slow and there are a lot of speed bumps and pot holes in the road along the way. Don't let them frustrate you. Use them as clues to better hone your skills and knowledge. You WILL get better than you are today, if you stay on the "functional" path, and I have no doubt about that.

Detoxing is about as fundamental as you can get in the functional medicine world so that is a great place to be right now. Another to look at, if you haven't already, is the grocery cart. That's a topic for another day, but long story short means gluten free, non-genetically modified, and organic as much as possible, with low sugar or no sugar as much as you can, and food from scratch rather than processed as much as possible.

A good drink to hydrate your body while detoxing, or anytime actually, is Green Tea with Ginger. I call it Ginger Green Tea. There is a chemical synergy going on with these. There are many benefits to both of these substances, but they amplify each other taken together. They say to drink a lot of water but I just can't do that! I hate water! :-) So I drink a lot of GreenGingerTea instead. :-)
