Most of the time there are only gastro-intestinal side effects that lessen over time. Aside from that it is very clean. No psychological effects whatsoever. I am not a doctor but i think you should bring the subject of Metformin up. I think it works from the first dosage on. It may be wise to not start with 2000mg right away. let us know if you try.
