> hi. -all- psych drugs alter brain chemistry. they don't -fix- anything. that's not necessarily a bad thing, its just...keep in mind; all the drugs "work" by taking what is probably more or less normal brain chemistry and disrupting it, resulting in changes to mood, activity level, behavior, etc.

I suppose one could ask about Cymbalta, instead of the effexor xr (would make getting the dose correct a lot easer...).

listen I dont care what label they give a medication all I look at is the Pharmacology of the drug. Could be a drug for alzhimerz that Iwould take cause im intrested in the mechanism of action. Memantine worked great for my Social anxiety. It almost killed it . And I dont mess with SSRI/SNRI (i have already tried them) but by believe is I have high serotonin and serotonin is the worst in high levels. Memantine regulates the amygdala which is why I think it worked for me. Its an antagonist on alpha 7 nicontic acid .. so is wellbutrin (have yet to try wellbutrin) I will combine the two and see how I feel.
