dextromethorphan + bupropion in phase III trials

Posted by TriedEveryMedication on September 1, 2017, at 20:49:54

The company looking to market this is claiming this combo has all these traits

-NMDA Receptor Antagonist
-Sigma-1R Agonist
-Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor
-Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor
-Dopamine Reuptake Inhibitor
-Nicotinic ACh Receptor Antagonist

The bup decreases the metabolism of the DXM, like the quinidine in nuedexta does.

Stephen Stahl also claims DXM hit the mu-opioid receptor which is a little concerning.

What do you think? Anyone take DXM for depression?
