Minocycline, among its many effects, is antiglutamatergic.

* NMDA modulator - mGlu autoreceptors co-agonist.
* regulation of p38 and Akt pathways

It has been suggested by some that a combination of Lamictal + minocycline is synergistic in the way each of them produces their antiglutamatergic effects.
