A lot of ADs can cause anxiety and agitation, especially during start up. Some even cause akathisia in some people.
Ummm...I don't know if its the best choice for anxiety. Its approved for GAD, I think, but...that doesn't mean its the best choice.
I don't know much about OCD. I've read that higher doses of ADs are used to counter OCD, but if you can't tolerate a particular AD very well, then...that might not be the best idea.
Some docs give benzos for a couple weeks during AD start up. If it gets intense, you could use a low dose AP/AAP.
