Remeron facial changes / mirtazapine aging

Posted by randomnamey on October 30, 2014, at 21:48:27

Hi, has anyone noticed their face sagging while on remeron or related antidepressants?

I've read articles with little in the way of evidence, however there is a lot of speculation online, along with individual experiences such as mine.

Some of the sagging may be weight and age related? It seems abnormal, so that's why I ask. I'm 30, and things return to normal when discontinuing the drug for longer periods of time. Unfortunately, I do not know of a good replacement for the drug... After stopping before for 6 months + with increasing TMJ, anxiety, and insomnia, I gave up the giving up and started back on a low dose (7.5mg). :/

BTW, it doesn't seem to matter how much or how little I have to be anxious over, I'm naturally anxious.. even when on vacations, in love, asleep, any combination of scenarios! Hence drugs.
