I took Klonopin .5mg once daily for 5 1/2 yrs, and c/o to valium w/minimal issues and am now tapering directly from valium. I never developed tolerance on Klonopin. I couldnt directly taper from it, however. One tiny cut caused agony. Valium is diff, easy in comparison for tapering. So,if you do take klonopin, you can always go to valium to taper off when you need to. Altho, Im sure some have alot of issues w/valium. My only exp w/Ativan is getting injected w/it in the ER a few times. It really calmed me down in a minute and made me sleep.
