Intermittent Explosive Disorder, Elevated Enzymes

Posted by Oddball1 on July 8, 2014, at 22:33:56

I read this and similar articles of a recent study.

http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/news/20131218/certain-blood-proteins-higher-in-people-prone-to-outbursts-of-rage

I want to know, (1) since they say these two inflammatory enzymes are elevated in IED but not in other psychiatric patients or other healthy patients, can this be used to confirm a diagnosis of IED as opposed to anger outbursts in other disease? and (2) are these blood tests for C-reactive protein and Interleukin-6 done at standard blood test labs or require specialized places?
