Is insomnia a form of hypomania?

Posted by Sheilac on April 4, 2014, at 4:14:57

I'm wondering if inability to fall asleep or stay asleep and get good rest is a form of hypomania? Or could it just lead to hypomania?

I've always had great sleep due to meds and now I'm lost without my dose of Trileptal to knock me out at night. Seroquel knocks me out nicely.

I'm so desperate, even though I had terrible swelling with Trileptal, to go back to it at a lower dose. I wish there were a way for it NOT to cause swelling. Or Seroquel? 2AAPs then.

The generic ambien doesn't work. Darn generics.

Atarax/vistiril only gets me to about 3:00am.

Klonopin doesn't knock me out anymore.

And I already take 6mg of melatonin.

I'm not sure "playing around with my Geodon dose" will help my sleep. Plus, it's so much easier to just take it all at dinner.
