I took risperdal briefly and found it very calming. I actually loved the way it made me feel and it worked almost immediately. I felt great and had no side effects -- or so I thought -- until I weighed myself after a month and found I had gained 10 pounds. In a month. For me, I would have stayed on risperdal or abilify or zyprexa forever, based on how they alleviated depression, anxiety and psychotic symptoms. But I am one of those people who gain weight uncontrollably on anti-psychotics.

I don't remember what dose of risperdal I took. I know it was more than 0.25mg.

Why are you afraid of seizures? I wasn't aware that risperdal increased seizure risk. Are you epileptic?
