Wow 50 pounds! I've only used 7.5mg. I am 125 pounds and can't gain even 5 pounds.

I understand that it does have side effects that are deal breakers for many. However, I was just commenting on the efficacy of remeron against my core symptoms of depression.

When I take an SSRI, I could take it 6 months and not be sure if I am really any better or happier.
When I take remeron, it is clear that I am happier. I enjoy playing the piano again, I enjoy watching movies and going for walks, I enjoy reading. I enjoy working, biking etc. I understand there are heavy side effects, but in terms of actually reducing depression I have found it more effective than other drugs.
