I posted about having severe anxiety about my operation and my Dr took me off of clonazepam and put me on 40mg/ day of diazepam.
Valium worked but not quite so well..
Dr. took me off diazepam and put me back on a high dose of clonazepam 6mg /day. Anxiety is improved. I feeel I can go through with the operation now.Here is what I noticed:
Valium increased my sex drive, made me more sociable but left me feeling as is I had taken an illegal drug. Periodic feelings of euphoria as if I had drank a lot of alcohol. Some slurred speech, and I said a few things off the top of my head that I would expect a person who had been drinking to say. Almost seems like diazepam blocks anxiety with euphoria. I have had almost no illegal drugs in my life, so I don't really know. But Valium felt the way I would expect a recreational drug to feel.Clonazepam makes me sane, in control, able to focus and fuction. The downside is... I believe it causes some sexual disfunction and worse yet, tinnitus. Since going back on the klonz, I can't understand a word my teenage daughter says. Wonder if I am doing irreversible damage to my hearing?
