Naltrexone has been available for thirty years now to treat alcoholism. But it's been a failure as a drug because it frequently causes depression and anxiety to worsen. However, low dose naltrexone (LDN), which is taken at a dose of between 3 and 4.5 mg (regular naltrexone is 50 mg) can sometimes help depression. LDN is taken primarily for some forms of cancer and for autoimmune disorders. You could probably work with a doctor to mail order low dose naltrexone from another country.
