Some evidence and some anecdotal evidence of weight loss while using Metformin in treating antipsychotic weight gain.

Not everyone will be helped by taking Metformin but if nothing else it can get blood work in line with not getting Diabetes. Most report about a 7% weight loss on Metformin, some much more, and some not any. But not everyone gains a pound on Zyprexa or Seroquel. Not because they are special but because they don't have the gene variant that us weight gainers do.
Again, if my weight loss goes to 15 pounds and stops, I'll ask my doctor to up the dose. If he refuses, I'll get off of the offending med.

But being obese and the multitude of problems associated with it is much worse.

How people treat you is their karma
How you react is yours.
