There was somthing in the news paper recently about an Australian soldier who committed suicide - he was a member of the SAS, the elite of the elite in the Australian military..... he was 40, still serving in the front line, and had completed 7 rotations in Afghanistan.
We realy need to do better (and we need to GTFO our of Afganistan, all we are doing there is fighting an expensive holding action - the moment the last NATO helicopter leaves Kabul, things will go back to the way they were before we got there.
As for veterans with depression, anxiety. PTSD and brain injurt, they need better drugs, better psychiatric and psychological support, and a more caring system.
