Is anyone taking Riluzole? Is it still being studied for depression? My psych dr. has never even mentioned it despite my lack of response to more meds than I can count.
One thing however, I began Lamictal (200mg) about 6 months ago and have to say it has help quite a bit. Not back to my old jolly self but not hiding in the closet crying either. One thing I've noticed is I don't like to go out anymore. I used to love going to dinner, the movies or anywhere else. Even though I can say I have days where I don't feel depressed, I can't bring myself to go out. However, if I do, I tend to have a decent time. This makes me feel as if I'm letting life pass me by and bothers me. I don't want to be a recluse the rest of my life but don't want to have to force myself to go out or travel either.
Also, my dr. told me about Ketamine clinical trials where I live. I'm not sure about it. I hate for this to be the next great hope, only to let us all down. Anyways, I know of one poster who's trying it. Is anyone else considering it?Greetings
