Hi scott, hummm I already take propanolol (Inderal) and can't take more than 10 mg day of it cause it's lowering too much my blood pressure...give to me more insomnia even at that low dose and also make me very tired....like all the others beta-blockers but the Inderal have a flexibility in the doses who is bigger than the other ones, I mean that you can take 5 mg and feel it's effect to decrease the heart rate or the sweating without affecting the blood pressure and at 40 mg or 80 mg it can be effective to lower the blood pressure...but on me it's seem that I have weak beta-receptors and alpha receptors as well since I always react badly to meds who affect those receptors OR had problems like severe orthostatic hypotension on 60 mg of Nardil even with the use of florinef... and had hypertensive crisis without foods interraction on the Parnate who almost kill me even if I always had on me some nifepidine pills in case of emergency... and I always react badly to all the TCA's...tachycardia mainly... with another one beta-blocker like the bisoprolol, the effective dose is 10 mg to lower the blood pressure, so you don't have the same flexibility in the doses and for the bisoprolol on me only 1 mg will put me in the low blood pressure category so I can't take it...

The clonidine is interresting cause I can use it for the insomnia at the same time that's why I ask about it use here... I know it's not very good to lower the blood pressure, but that's not the effect I want, I need something who will stop the adrenaline/noradrenaline production and something who will reduce my heart rate...

The Prazosin seem too powerfull, also I wonder if I will have the same kind of reaction on it than on drugs who are also alpha 1 antagonist like the Seroquel for example? Always had worse tachycardia from all the atypical antipsychotics meds especially the ones who touch more the alpha adrenergic receptors.... I don't think my Doc will agree about taking it since i'm on the low blood pressure side at home, even at night when I wake up in a panic attack mood, sweating from everywhere on my body, my blood pressure is normal to low...

Maybe you can help me to understand some tests results from last year, I had the same kind of anxiety but not as worse with mainly tachycardia in the morning, now it's all the time? I had a 24 hours urinary test for the cortisol, adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine... My cortisol level was low around 60 and the normal range is between 40 and 600 or more I don't really remember... the dopamine was at 3000 and the maximum range is around 4800... the adrenaline level was undectable, mean less than 25 and the maximum range is around 150... the noradrenaline was at 124 with a range from 80-400 I think...

I don'T know how it's possible to have low adrenaline and noradrenaline level if I have so many cardiovascular symptoms from the anxiety??? Of course my Doc say I had normal results... and the cortisol from the blood tests was normal also but on the low side...but no addison disease or no cancer on the adrenal glands as well and normal supression test for the cortisol...

Anyway thanks for your answer ;-)

Oh, for the depression I don't really care, already on high benzo doses who can also induce depression... and to be honnest I think it's better to feel depress (not suicidal anyway) than having cardiovascular symptoms related to the anxiety like I have all the time...

Just learn that the Zolpidem is approved in the Canada since last year... 10 mg sublinguial dose... is it a good med for the insomnia? I try in the past the Zopiclone but it was doing nothing on me even at 15 mg...
