But you seem to want stimulants to treat what sounds like depression and stimulants have a bad track record with depression, usually poop out very quickly once you build tolerance. If anti-depressants aren't working, maybe therapy is the answer. You talk about therapy like it's a punishment, but it can be incredibly helpful. Of course, if you enter therapy and talk continually about finding the medical "fix", the therapist will try to move you in another direction. But that's the point. It has always seemed to me that your problem is (1) an addictive personality that leads to drug-seeking behavior; (2) an over-reliance on parents/family to care for you; (3) low self-esteem which makes you think of yourself as slow-witted, unable to care for self.
Therapy is the only thing that will really help with this.
