That's great that your locale has a decent program for people without insurance. Have you thought about applying for medicaid? That will increase your options; in case you ever do need a benzo or something else against the clinic's policy.

"No drugs of * category under any circumstances" is kind of a dumb rule though. If it was truly dangerous even under close medical supervision, the FDA would ban it. What does your clinic do with people with like, panic disorder, if SSRIs and TCAs don't work?
