It is my understanding that certain nicotinic receptor antagonists, mecamylamine (Inversine) for example, can precipitate or exacerbate depression. Muscarinic antagonists, by comparison, can exert antidepressant effects. If biperiden (Akineton) is still available, that would be my choice of anti-muscarinic.

Maybe d/r can check me on this.
