Suboxone is a combination of two drugs and is used primarily as a substitute for heroin in detoxification protocols. Suboxone is a preparation of buprenorphine and naloxone. You are better off using a preparation of buprenorphine only (Temgesic; Subutex; Buprenex). I believe naloxone would make pain disorders and depression worse. Buprenorphine, on the other hand, would reduce pain and possibly improve depression.
