do you think supplements might help? I don't know that much about brain chemistry or whatever, but supplements (possibly in addition to your tranquilizer) might be able to help speed up the process of getting you back to baseline. A poster here a while ago was on supplements to help with tardive psychosis (from tranquilizers) and it seemed to be helping, as I recall.
Then again, I'm a vitamin fiend, so do take what I say with a grain of salt.
