hey. I'm glad to hear you're feeling at least a bit better. That's good news. Risperdal is kind of strange. You get the dose high enough, you may as well be on Haldol--EPS, akathisia, dysphoria, so on and so forth. I have read that really low doses help depression and sometimes kick start mania, though.
Anyway, I'm happy for you. I'd personally advise you not to go too high; the TD and EPS risks are very real, there's weight gain, and there's also dysphoria to deal with. I was dysphoric and twitchy on 4mgs/day, personally.
Has your doctor discussed any other strategies to get you to where you want/need to be? I must admit I find it a bit strange to treat anhedonia with neuroleptics; these drugs are notorious for causing anhedonia, even the newer ones.
That said, do what you need to do to get your brain to where it needs to be so you can live your life. Please keep us all posted.
