I guess its a bit of a dinoasure, but like many similar drugs, its right for a small number of patients..... who the hell prescribes Tofranil, Thorazine, amitriptyline, Sinequan? For a few people they are the right med for them, so its good thatt hey are still on the market.
Lilly tried to stop selling nortriptyline in Australia a few years ago, saying that sales were so small it wasnt worth the efort, but the health department and the college of psychiatrists persuaded them to keep distributing it in the public interest (with a price increase)
