I think thats why Im having these side effects. But, in the AM when I take like 75 mgs, I feel pretty good. Nice focus, decent motivation, feeling awake, although it doesnt appear to increase physical energy the wake amphetamines do or caffeine, it definitely increases focus and motivation. Then around 3 hrs after that first dose, I start feeling a hair of dysphoria which makes it difficult to focus to a small extent. Then, around 11 I take another 25 to 75 mgs. At that point im ok for an hour or two and after that I start feeling kinda tweaked out and just really stressed out and crappy. I do find that waiting to take the second dose til after lunch seems to bombard my brain with too much stimulation over too long of a period of time which causes that stressed out feeling. When I take like 50 mg at 8am and then another 50 mg at 10am, after lunch I don't seem to get that overly stressed out feeling.

Whereas nuvigil feels like a real stimulant and does not induce a calm focus. Nuvigil to me is somewhere in between adderall and caffeine. Caffeine produces too much physical stimulation like shakiness, anxiety, etc that nuvigil doesnt cause. So that's great. But I want to avoid the dysphoria that happens after lunch. Any suggestions?? And has this happened to other people as well??

I think when I take it after lunch, theres just SO much stimulation for such a long period of time w/ the long half life that my brain doesn't calm down til like 10pm. Does that line of logic make sense? Do other ppl agree that my side effects may be related to the ultra long half life?

Nuvigil worked somewhat for my fatigue but adderall really helps get me off the hump and get things done. And weirdly enough it relaxes me and puts me in a positive mood whereas nuvigil did not. I don't understand what the big deal with prescribing adderall is. After all, so many kids take them. It's so much easier to get pain killers and tranquilizers than amphetamines. These are a godsend for many who suffer from extreme fatigue. Vyvanse is another option which works pretty well.
