Alchemy,

I wondered why my ears have been ringing. Now I know; my friend Alchemy mentioned my name.

> But I know it was a miracle for Ron Hill

The word "miracle" is perhaps an overstatement regarding the overall action of Valdoxan for me. For example, Valdoxan can cause daytime sleepiness for me, and this side effect is dose dependent. I added 2.5 mg/day of Adderal XL to treat this Valdoxan side effect. I'd like to take more Adderal XL, but stimulants cause me to become very irritable (GRRRRRRRRRRRR) except at a micro-dose level.

Further, I usually sleep well on Valdoxan. But, once in a while, for no apparent reason, my sleep is very shallow and choppy. Go figure.

Having said all that, however, Valdoxan is a MIRACLE for me because it stopped my ultra rapid cycling and, thereby, it also stopped my bipolar depression.

As you know, in addition to Valdoxan, I take several meds, vitamins, and supplements. Valdoxan alone would not adequately treat my bipolar II. It is the combo working synergistically.

For example, I always take my meds but, for reasons I do not fully understand, I often neglect taking my vitamins and supplements. If I skip my vitamins and supplements for two or three days in a row, I loose my energy and motivation, and I fall into a low grade depression. As soon as I take my vitamins and supplements, I snap out of it and am back to normal.

My point is that everything I take plays a part in keeping me well. However, if it were not for Valdoxan, I'd still be ultra rapid cycling and, thereby, severely depressed six out of every fifteen days, non-stop over, and over, and over ...

How are you, Alchemy? Any med changes? What does your p-doc say?

-- Ron
