Hi all,
it's been a very,very long time since i've posted but it's really nice to be back here.
About 3 months ago i tapered off of my Luvox (fluvoxamine) 150mg daily which i had taken for about 1 year b/c my depression was lifted. That was the first depressive episode i had that required medication intervention. In the last 5 weeks i've experienced a great stress in my life w/my boyfriend of 4 years breaking up with me. Now, as I'm emerging from the numbness of it all, i'm noticing those all too familiar symptoms of depressions coming back. I've decided to re-start the fluvoxamine, will see my psych doc in a couple days. Thing is, i'm scared. I'm scared that the medication won't help me like it did before, i'm scared of the side effects like i had when i first started (anxiety/nervousness). I will also be taking clonazepam to help alleviate those sx's of anxiety, btw. Has anyone found success with restarting the same antidepressant after stopping it? i would think my body will respond well to the same drug since it did before but i guess i just need some reassurance.
