I just know that many of the amino acids compete for transport across the blood-brain barrier and thought I would give tyrosine a leg up in the race by supplementing it more. The symptoms of my depression right now are more the dopamine/norepinephrine (lack motivation, lack pleasure) than the serotonin (crying, sadness). So, I think it might be worth giving tyrosine the leg up in the race for awhile to see what happens. I wish I knew what we be a good amount for that to not get everything out of whack but to just give it a little boost?

You might try with 50 mg for the sake of safety.
