Hi Uncouth.
Now, you know darn well that it wasn't a placebo response.
Effexor can definitely produce an initial "buzz" that occurs within an hour of the first dose. It has been my experience, though, that it lasts for less than a day. I think it is a good sign, though. I like the combination of medications that you are on. I think you have a good chance of responding to it.
