There are people whom will respond to one MAOI and not respond to another. I guess that is as much rationale as one would need to give Parnate a try. Some of the earlier work on MAOIs and atypical depression found that both Parnate and Nardil were effective. Even social anxiety can be responsive to Parnate, even though Nardil is considered to be the first choice.

If Parnate monotherapy does not work, will you be adding anything to it as an augmenter? If you experience a brief or partial response, you might want to consider it.
