Yeah I've never done the transference thing. I may try it soon here.
I've been in therapy on and off for several years. I'm also one of those people that remembers everything from childhood, even since I was 3 years old. I don't remember everything, but I remember enough to know what was going on and feel how I felt back then. It's almos photographic. Sometimes I wish I was not so introspective and in touch with myself. I might try the tranference thing it sounds interesting. I also want to try EMDR, I have a friend that has had a lot of success with it.
Hope you are well and feeling more like yourself again. At least as much as you can right now.
Oh-it's probably not more self awareness, but more from suddenly feeling the repressed, intense emotions from that strange transference event. I never processed those emotions from childhood trauma, don't even remember feeling them, so a lot is coming to light as a result of my brief experience w/ psychotherapy.
