When I'm anxious I have a hard time breathing. Sometimes I even discover that I'm holding my breath and it's a struggle.
Also, I don't know where you live, but pollen is ubiquitous and omnipresent here (and of course I have to be out in it all day). Maybe it is contributing to your breathing.
Has anything else changed in your environment?
